What needs to be done to get The BlabberBoard more active again?

Open to suggestions........let's hear them.

bring back the radio and promote the heck out of the place... i used to come here to listen to shows while i studied,... it was great.

unfortunately you cant force people to post interesting things on here.
all there is nowadays is annoying plugs of bands
plus that scrolling thread thing is back!!! arghhh!!!!! takes forever!!!!!1

i have a feeling untomed has something to do about this, i dont see the reason in moving the radio to a different site when thats what this whole place is themed about. who knows though.

maybe i should go back to posting troll threads about useless things?

4.go back to being a christian board, thats why i rarely post here anymore, It was all about god when i first joined and now the only thing you really see about god on here anymore is people disputing whether he is real or talking bad about him...

The Untombed site would be a big factor in diminishing numbers here though.

How active should this place be? This is one of my daily frequented sites, and it seems there's new posts except for Sunday morning and some afternoons.

I think if you could do stuff with your points - it might increase posts. ...but then again, it might increase spamming.

The funeral mist thread would be a good place to start, people are taking a pictureof crucified babies and a dude trying to liken himself to jesus, how in the hell is that not anti god, i know its in the secular section but thats not the point

If the board just got back to the way it was this time last year i would be here every day, i miss the old board a lot, But sadly it feels like everyone is turning their backs on god, Im not saying that is fact, it just seems that way

i used to spend 5 hours or more on here at a time when i had nothing better to do, now theres only about 5 minutes worth of stuff on here to discuss a day if im lucky.

That would actually cause me to leave the forums permanently. Why I frequently visit the site is due to discussing about the faith, since I don’t really care or really listen to Christian metal anymore, although I do still love some bands like Elgibbor and Slechtvalk.

I know you gave an example, but I haven’t seen anything about any of the 4. I know I used to do my fair share of #4, but I’ve gotten back on track, and since then, it seems all the anti-God posts were gone as well.

I may have to go back to that thread to see what you mean, but I never have or never will have that picture portrayed as Jesus, that’s idolatry. What I said was it is possible to garner a different message than what the anti-picture people were hammering on those who saw it differently.

Dude, as spoken earlier, THOUSANDS have been crucified just like Christ before Christ, so just because you see a crucifixion it doesn’t automatically = Jesus Christ. Remember, we worship a LIVING God, they are just portraying their fate of death. That is how it isn’t anti-God. They are showing their fate. Remember, Christ resurrected, so we concentrate on resurrection, not crucifixion.

The last part is, just because a couple doesn’t like the pic doesn’t make it wrong to see it or have on the site. Pornography is a different story, but Black Metal isn’t about close-mindedness, it’s about open interpretation.

I know what you are saying, but with me at least, I’ve straightened myself up. As for others, I think everyone who isn’t a Christian left now, except LastFirstborn. I really haven’t heard any anti-God sentiments since I got back on track.

For suggestions, there really isn’t anything to do, other than heavy advertising and forcing people to go here if they don’t have real life to worry about.

One thing I loved about firestream that I could see here to help is perhaps an arcade maybe?

The one thing that I will also say is I think the Mods allowing us to settle the battles on our own makes this place a great place to be! I think the mods do a great job and encourage them to keep up the great work.

What I truly love about this place is the freedom of expression, but as long as it is civil. One of the reasons why I still won’t go back to firestream, or visit any other Christian forums, is due to the heavy censorship and lack of expressing what you view. With the exeption of here, it seems most Christian forums, if you aren’t a Christian, you will be burned like a heretic unless you convert or leave. I’ve seen non-Christians accepted here with open arms as well and I encourage more of that.

Last thing is, since I’m here mainly for the religious discussion, I feel it would be awesome if we or some mods create an official Bible Study discussion, like we go through a chapter or a theme or something for a thread, and we go through the entire Bible eventually. Let this be it’s own separate forum like the Christian Metal/Secular Metal etc., but keep it going whether 100 or 1 person posts. That way at least we can get Bible Scriptures for those who aren’t familiar with it, like me for example and it can spark up some great discussions about Christianity that isn’t strictly always related to denominations.

I think this is what keeps me here and will/might attract more people as well.

Well after i went and looked again i guess you all are right, The stuff i was complaining about is largely gone, So i stand corrected, But the thing that made me mad about the funeral mist pic was the dead babies, only a complete piece of sh.t would say a picture of a crucified baby is art, and i dont give a crap who that offends, But for the other stuff i am glad to see it gone, I love this board and always will

And i have no problem with anyone not following god, thats your choice and it is one you will burn for in the end, I like joey and always have so i dont want him to think i am pointing fingers at him just because i was speaking out about people who dont follow god

There is an ebb and flow to everything.. don't expect it to always be busy.. and don't get all worried when it isn't.

This is my favorite of the Christian metal forums.. due to the liberal moderating.. among other reasons..
