My work sets on squat are just broke 300#.

Think I'm nearing the end of linear progression. Got pinned under my 310# squat during the second set. I'll try the same weight again next week.

Yesterday, for the first time, my 3 set bench with 295lbs was 8 reps, 8 reps, 8 reps. (with spotter helping me get 10's)

That first 8 is starting to bloom into a 9. ^_^

I was in a rack, so it wasnt really an issue.

I rarely skipped more than one day working out from my 20s to the present. I still do the same weight routine I did in my 20s and using the same weight (e.g. 10-12 reps 220lb lat pulldowns). I always went for higher rep and rip over size, and my body weight has never varied more than +/- about 5 lbs since the goal I shot for in my 20s.

I can't really see myself pushing the extremely heavy weights when I'm up in age, but I never know.... I saw a guy on a NatGeo who was 63 and was throwing up atlas stones like nothing.

As I was finishing up my 15 clean and presses, I finally got told not to drop the bumper plates, even though I explained that thats their function. This feels like a PR.

I never lift anymore. I run, do 500 pushups a day, several thousand sit ups, and I vary it up with tire and sledgehammer, and log exercises.

Sledgehammer work is supposed to be beastly for conditioning.

I hit the gym Saturday and did 2 sets of 10, incline dumbbells after my bench.

110lb dumbbells. I was a little surprised I did so well too!

Down to 203#. Should have a 6-pack within the next couple months.

Last time I lifted, I got reps of 9, 9, 8 for three sets of 295lbs on the bench.

I was gonna post here that I do some cardio here and there and some dumbells that I got at home but you guys make me look like a wimp...

Started Crossfit football's intermediate programming today. Took a couple weeks off heavy squats, so I took it easy today, as I also had to do 5x5 as opposed to my normal 3X5.

Squat - 250x5x5, easy overall, but I definitely felt it on the last couple reps.
Press - 115x8x3, the site listed it as 65% of my 1RM, but I kind of wish I'd gone higher.

Down to 198#, and front squatted my old 1RM for a triple.

I'm not really liking how the intermediate programming is set up on CF Football, so I'm going to take the Chaos and Pain approach:

Basically, training at least 5 times a week, and regularly doing heavy singles, doubles, triples, etc., but you make the rules within those guidelines.

You guys make me feel like a wimp... XD

I maxed out a few weeks ago and the results were 185 on the bench press, 160 on the power clean, and 305 on squat... meh.

I'll do more for sure come the next max out date.

Yeah, I've been putting on some weight too, from all the seasonal sweets, so I'm working out daily now. I was in pretty good shape before, so I'm kinda pissed.
