What I want to ask is this... what do you guys think about it in a marital context, between married Christians? |

| If your wife likes you to see her naked and erotic looking your a blessed man. Outside images would be wrong. Once you have babies and little kids you will be lucky if your wifes feeling erotic alot of the time. Make the most of it while shes hot. If your a single Christian you will have erotic thoughts no matter how holy you think you are, but you should steer well clear of looking at erotic images etc. What are you to do with it? you could try turning it into a prayer for a wife. If it gets burdensome, try and focus on doing something for the Kingdom of God and unleash yourself into it fully and try and forget about trying to find a wife. |

Kind of vague. I'll say one thing I know for sure regarding singles and youth. I would not endorse the fundamentalist view that would have people turning away from appealing images of the opposite gender or plugging their ears as if such things bring Armageddon. Do that and we end up with sexually repressed freaks who may create more sin and relational issues than they would have if they just accepted the beauty of the opposite gender in an open and dignified way. Chyouknowutimean? That kind of repression overtly sensationalizes things it shouldn't in the first place; creating the possibility DrawnsworD brings up, that it could be burdensome. Funk dat. It's dumb. Language? Same thing. The principal of openness while maintaining a sense of dignity and respect over repressive fundamentalism. |

100% approve, here. Without getting very graphic, I believe that if you're entranced by your wife or vice-versa and you're not bringing someone else into your marital bed, there is freedom for a couple to enjoy one another to the fullest of their desire. That being said, though, I believe that pornography involving others would be something that in essence brings that other person into the picture and would therefore be verboten. If, for example though, one of you were creatively inclined to write stories for the other involving fictionalized scenes or characters modeled after the two of you, I wouldn't see any issue at all with that, personally. There's actually a fairly strong online community of Christians that discuss these issues on another forum I go to from time to time. They even discuss ideas for romantic getaways, date nights, and even marital counseling issues. It should be easy enough to find with a Google search, but if anyone's interested in finding out more about it, just PM me and I can send you the link. |

Theres no reason to hide from it. However, we shouldnt go looking for it...know what I mean? Pr0n and stuff like that is cancer for a christian. Inside a marital relationship erotic thoughts and desires between spouses is perfectly fine...otherwise, whats the fun in being married if you cant explore your sexuality together? |

What about everybody else. being sexually attraced to someone is normal, it was built into us, but intentionally toying with thoughts of "visually undressing" a girl or having fantasies is wrong, having attraction is good. i think any sort of sexual contact is not good. i try and keeps my thoughts about this type of thing to "shes pretty" and thats it if you get what i mean. |

| Alot of this subject isn't really about scriptural matters. so much as cultural standards.
Here's a question for you.
Do you think that men are more represeed abd uptight sexually in a culture where it is acceptable for women to walk around topless.. or in a culture where women can't show much more than their neck?
i would say their is more of a problem in the cultures of women being treated like the forbidden fruit..
If you have plenty of something.. what is their to marvel at.. what is there to lust after?
A nation that is starving on the other hand.. well they will marvel at the least bit morsel of whatever they happen to be starving from.
It's kind of like when I show you guys my club video's.. and some people are like Dude, the half naked women! For me.. I've been around it enough that I don't even notice the half naked women.. nor dO I lust after any of them.. because they are not rare and are in abundance. |

Hey...I am at least admitting guilt here. I toe that line best I can lol. I see nothing wrong with making out with a girl. I see nothing wrong with being sexually attracted to her either. I push the envelope alot. Sometimes I know what Im doing is wrong. Sometimes I stop it before it happens. Most of the time I try not to get that deep into it. I have problems thinking straiht as it is. You put a pretty girl in the mix and we start mackin and Im gone lol. |

I'm sure there are many more. That doesn't mean that it necessarily is the norm, but you also won't get arrested for it like in the USA. It is quite normal in some areas of Germany, for example, for people to be naked .. sitting in a park.. reading the newpaper. smoking or having a coffee.. and no one is really very interested in that the person might be naked. Especially not like in the US, where the army , navy and national guard will get called in if someone is sitting in a park naked..

| i agree, i think if guys can go around shirtless, so can women. like you said this would not be a lust issue after so long. at the risk of being too explicit, i will try and explain why. in native type cultures where it is acceptable to be completely nude, i doubt men walk around with a hard on everytime a girl passes by because it is just a common thing, in our culture where you must wear clothes, if a nude woman was to walk by, i'm willing to bet every man around would be aroused by it. |

Implementing it into a culture that sexualizes everything in the name of capitalism? Good luck seeing the standards change in a healthy manner. |

Here's a question for you.
Do you think that men are more represeed abd uptight sexually in a culture where it is acceptable for women to walk around topless.. or in a culture where women can't show much more than their neck? Oddly enough, when I was in Saudi Arabia, where women are required to dress extremely modestly in public, I actually felt a greater sense of freedom in regards to appearance and dress and such. I felt less objectified and felt free not to worry so much about how I looked. Who I was wasn't tied into how I looked. It is really hard to explain, but I much prefer a more modest culture than a less modest culture. Men are also expected to dress modestly, also...though not quite as covered up. Now...as far as Saudi Arabia is concerned...that is the ONLY area where I felt a greater sense of freedom. For the most part, I gained a great appreciation of the freedoms we have in the USA. |

| Ah, glorious Saudi Arabia. the Country where if your a woman and you get raped.. you are guilty of a crime and get whipped publicly and imprisoned.
Yea.. you definitely don't have to worry about competing with other women as women do in civilized nations ( for some reason ).. when you are viewed as cattle. |

The national guard isn't a seperate branch. It's a reserve component of the army. |
