I don't have this one yet, though it's on my list. Perfect Blue, however, is a brilliant work, hard to believe it was his directorial debut! I'm a touch more old-school in my anime love, seeing as how I've been living in a small town for years and haven't had as ready access to anime as I did when my wife & I first got into it. I'm into many of the standards like Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scroll, Patlabor, Galforce, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Vampire Hunter D, and both Record of Lodoss War series (13-episode OVA and 27-episode series). I also like lesser-known series like Vampire Princess Miyu and Blackjack (awesome!). Never quite got what all the hype about Akira was, except for it's extreme violence for its time. I enjoyed it well enough when I watched it the one time, but never thought it was all that fantastic, and never bought a copy. |

| I finished watching Gankutsuo: The Count of Monte Cristo last night, and it is by far one of the best series I've ever seen. Everyone who even remotely likes anime should watch it. |

| That is a very good one. I finished watching Mushishi last night, sadly. Good series, not your standard anime though. There isn't really an intertwining story arc, it is more about slowly revealing things about the main-character, Ginko, as one story from his travels is told each episode. I thought that was fairly unique and I developed quite the appreciation for Ginko.
I'm going to be watching Zombie Loan next. |

| keep onclimbing higher Okay, we gotta get this more active. Haruhi Suzimaya is such a funny and corny show. I love it. Bleach is badassness taken to a level OVER 9000! Sora no Otishimono is awesome. It's about two angels who fall to Earth and make this dudes life a living hell and give him random boners everytime his crush walks around. So funny. Sooooooooo japanese. Soul Eater is serious enough to be interesting, yet stupid enough for me to like it.
Nao post moar ANIME. Or I start posting funny Haruhi pics.
