Soul Eater is serious enough to be interesting, yet stupid enough for me to like it. I know right, it went from crazy serious, to seriously crazy! It was a great show, I really enjoyed it. I recently modeled a character I played in a pen and paper RPG on Dr Stein. Another one which I found somewhat similar, but a little less overtly crazy, is Black Butler. I can't remember it's Japanese name, but it's a neat little anime. Set in a dark Victorian England. |

| I started watching Spice and Wolf on Hulu today. I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would. |

| I'm not a big anime guy, but i LOVE Full Metal Alchemist. Speaking of which, any of yall know when the rest of the Dubbed episodes of FMA: Brotherhood will be online? I'd look, but I dont want to risk spoilers. |

I like that one Cool. I've heard a lot of good things about it, which makes me want to check it out.
Oh, and I'm also planning on trying Cowboy Bebop sometime. I absolutely HATED Elfen Lied. There was a good plot in there... but it was completely ruined with the overuse of gore, lame humour and nudity. They could have done SO much better. Kudos to those who mentioned Code Geass, that anime is amazing, as is Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. Dead Space - Downfall was also really good... and I'm absolutely SHOCKED that not ONE SINGLE person has mentioned Darker Than Black so far. That is my all time favourite anime. |

All the gory scenes were plot-relevant. The nudity was fairly tasteful too, not really sexually exploitative at all (save for a few humorous ecchi parts, but I didn't think those were gratuitous). |

I just finally picked up the original Vampire Hunter D on DVD, and picked up the 1st volume of Tsubasa for my wife (she's reading the manga series) last night. I need to reacquire the 13-episode Record of Lodoss War DVD set I used to have, and want to get the 27-episode OVA re-do as well, since that was technically a better version of that story arc. Do you happen to know if the entire Vampire Princess Miyu is out on DVD? I haven't seen anything. Also, I know Manga has released the Blackjack movie, but I'm curious about the series - my wife and I really enjoyed that when we rented some episode VHS' back in the day but I haven't seen anything about a DVD release of the Blackjack series on DVD, which is too bad, because we quite enjoyed it. |

| Amazon has all six volumes of the TV series of Vampire Princess Miyu for pretty cheap. www.rightstuf.com (great place to get a lot of anime from) has both OVAs for only $6.99 each, less than half the price they are on Amazon. Rightstuf also has all the dvds of Black Jack. Oh and thanks. |
