| Some people have a harder time than others at discerning what God is calling them to do... but for those who feel they have a good idea of what it is, what is it, for you? |

| Right now its the following: -building up and affirming those I know, with prayer and words of of comfort and knowledge. - committing to leadership position in my church , in the areas of worship and young people- encouraging and organising it, plus playing guitar. - get my degree done so I can counsel and help those in messy parts of their life... show proof of the otherside of the crap times. - I don't 'feel' this is what I'm meant to do, I know it, as its been made obvious |

I once thought I knew what God wanted from me, as it seemed so obvious to me. Too many pathways had been cleared for it to be coincidental. I'm not sure anymore though, where God is leading me. |

I'm not sure anymore though, where God is leading me. As long as you keep yourself willing, you'll be on your way to His will. |

Hey, that discernment will help you in a lot of ways. Be sure to see it as the highest regard or priority, always. Anyway, it's weird, because for me I know I need to keep looking for a job and everything (as I have been) but I feel most called to simply play music and witness to those in the music scene. It's strange because the world tells me this is unimportant and that the job thing is first priority, but then I feel God telling me the inverse. And I am quite sure as far as I can be that it IS God's voice, not just my own wishes. |

| Not too sure...
It has something to do with the heavy metal scene. I know I wanna see God move in my life.
I've always wanted to do big things for God. But to do big things, we must obey in small things. And this is where I stumble way too often.
It used to be clearer, I think. I used to be more "blazing" for Christ. But iunno, I must've slipped a little from that very narrow path that God set in front of me. I think I need to give Him a lot more importance in my daily life. I'm dealing with some stuff right now and instead of really going to Him everytime, I just keep it to myself really.
My world turned somewhat grayish. I need to depend on God more. |

| I know I'm supposed to be helping people. I have a burden for young people who are hurting, and I know I'm supposed to do something in regards to that. I've been though enough stuff so that I can reach people, I've seen it happen before, people will listen to me for whatever reason.
I have a friend who said that she wants to be down in the trenches, pulling people out. I feel that my calling is to work beside her.
These ideas are what fuels me:
"We often ask God to show up. We pray prayers of rescue. Perhaps God would ask us to be that rescue, to be His body, to move for things that matter. He is not invisible when we come alive. I might be simple but more and more, I believe God works in love, speaks in love, is revealed in our love."
"We are only asked to love, to offer hope to the many hopeless. We don't get to choose all the endings, but we are asked to play the rescuers. We won't solve all mysteries and our hearts will certainly break in such a vulnerable life, but it is the best way. We were made to be lovers bold in broken places, pouring ourselves out again and again until we're called home."- both from Jamie Tworkowski in the TWLOHA story. |

| I honestly have no idea. To be honest it is kind of a challenge staying faithful to my Christian convictions after joining the military, because just looking at everyone in the military (especially the marines), they act like the military is their only option and go insane with the monotony of every day, and eventually their faith is dismissed to the wayside. After almost going insane in my A school in Pensacola, and finding a really good church in my C school in Jacksonville, I realized how much I'd fallen, and I vowed to never return to that state.
Right now, it's hard for me to understand my calling, because I know what I'll be doing for the next 4 years: military. I'm going to be starting college soon, but I still don't know what I'll be studying for specifically. I'm thinking maybe theology, because I noticed myself looking into a lot of information pertaining to Christianity, the many denominations of it, the origins of the Bible. One person says one thing, someone else says another, and after reading all sides I end up with a bunch of opinions and not anything solid. I want to know these things, but I will never forsake my salvation in Jesus Christ in the process. |

| God is calling me to lose my prideful and self-centered inclinations and become a humble servant to all. |

| god has recently called me back into the music business.i had prayed continually for his plan and after 7months it was revealed to me.i had read max lucados book"cure for the common life" and it outlined how too many people are involved in the ministry and it becomes tiresome.we should not grow weary serving others.we should do what god has planned and do to the best of our abilities and serve others doing it.quite by accident i was asked to review a cd from a fellow musican from my homestate.so serving god and others;i jumped at it.long story short, here was a band that needed help.for the first time in 17 yrs they sought a christian, musically into their type of sound, socialable and outgoing and a go getter.i prayed about it.i knew god had placed me where he wants me.and i dont know everything;but, the band is very encouragin and supportive spiritually and as well as i love my job.i am learning so much from them about the business, music and myself and of course god.i am so proud to be a part of this ministry and thank god for this opportunity and not allowin me to give up.i stand before you;a very proud, blessed, honored and humbled and grateful promotional manager to the band Ultimatum!! i will with gods help to the best job for them and the lord that i can.pls pray for us as a band and the work i can continue to do in their service.

| - Quit dwelling and analyzing on problems/issues/annoyances that don't mean anything or are just there to distract me from my primary future goals - Study, do homework, focus on school - Obey God in all regards with both my prayer time as well as my body physically and mentally, so as to become the confident Christian man that is able to both lead a classroom and hopefully a family - Forgive those who annoy, bother, or hurt me, whether or not they consciously do it - Love people regardless of whether they do or don't love me back - Relax, take it one day at a time, just chill... relax Sergio relax |

| I felt led about a month ago to begin reaching out to the "outcasts" of society. Rebels. Inlcuding, but not limited to: goths, emos, gays, or anyone else who has been turned away by society, even by our own churches in some cases. That breaks my heart, and I want to be God's tool to be used in His will, that others would know Jesus. |

| Adult Ministry and missions. That's all he told me of His plan for my life for now.
He also told me to make plans to head to seminary in Fall 2011. |

| I'm definitely thinking music is the direction God is pointing in. A few opportunities have presented themselves. Now just a case of talking them through with God, make sure I'm reading Him right. I've messed that up in the past, not too keen on doing that again. |

| What I think what one needs to do is: Do not go on feelings. Feelings are flirty.
God, as I see it, tends to equip people to do something that they have an interest it. This may not always be the case, but I believe it is true more often than not. God will work through people's natural bents to complete what, if anything, God has for them to do.
Overall, I think God calls people in a lower number than what the church tends to claim. As in an actual calling versus natural gifts endowment.
We all have gifts, but few are called to do something outside normal life. Normal life is working a 40 hour week, raising a family and just living day to day. A called person, would be someone who does something that is not ordinary.
Paul and Peter were called. Where as Peter's father was just living life as a fisherman.
The Church likes to tell people everyone can be a Peter or a Paul, I think that does a lot of damage to the Church. That is like telling everyone can be President of the United States, that is like saying 300 Million people can be president, at the same time. Not to be deterred that only 42 men have ever held the post.
Most people are just simple every day people, working and raising a family, if that is you, find your gift and express it in the Church.
If you are truly called, then develop it, allow God to show you what that is and have him guide you. |
