no more than other religions thats actually very true mystery. especially if you know jack about scientology. read dianetics, the primary book of scientology. no mention of aliens, no mention of faith, no mention of anything but human psychology basically. it is an ideology based purely on L Ron Hubbards theories of human psychology. |

that is part of their admittedly nonfactual mythology. it is not a religion, its a theory and idea of psychology that is incompatible with any religion. Of course they say it's non-factual to them....do you think they could actually lure people in if that's what they ADMITTED they believed? They hide a whole lot. And they're very against psychology, they have propaganda about it.
Also...if they're not a religion they better start paying taxes and stop calling their centers "churches".
i have read their "holy books". no where in them is mentioned a literal belief in that alien business. it is a metaphor. ask any scientologist. it is a metaphor. end of story. You say that because you didnt read OT3 yet. Maybe if you give them 500k you'll be one step closer. We have another similar cult here in Quebec. The raelites. A bunch of crazy people doing orgies for the elohims, the "alien gods" who created us. They use 1 or 2 bible verses to back up their stuff but ignore everything else. Rael, the founder of the cult, says he is the cousin of Jesus. He also has a harem. Anyways, it's really messed up ****. |
