Well, it only took a month and a half, but my first batch can finally be described as drinkable. I think I may have made some sanitation mistakes and the fermantation process took too long to start as well. So, this brown ale tastes more like an amber lager, but I usually reach for a second after finishing the first. Anyway, I took a shot making my second batch yesterday - a cream stout! I'm pleased to report that the brewing process went very well, and the airlock on the fermenter was bubbling at a good rate this morning. |

I may have tried this, but I can't remember. They made a winter lager that was dark and it was very good. |

| I bottled my stout on Sunday and I think it's going to turn out pretty well. In two weeks I'll crack a bottle and let you know how it tastes. |

What ABV is it ? I tried to do the calculation for that, and I must have taken bad gravity readings or used the wrong formula, because it came out to just over 2%. I know that's not right because I drank 2 of these on an empty stomach once and I got pretty buzzed. I'm guessing it's at least 4%, but I'll try to do the calculation again sometime. |

| If after 2 on an empty stomach you got pretty buzzed I'd guess it's around 7% Ofcourse I don't know how well you handle beer. |

| I had a couple of brews recently from Montana's Big Sky Brewing Co. Powder Hound Winter Ale was malty and a little bit spicy. And not listed on their site is Slow Elk Oatmeal Stout which was very tasty. I recommend both if you should come across them.

| New Glarus Black Wheat according to my untrained senses: Pours black with a thick, off-white head. Aroma of charcoal and roasted malt. Smokey and roasted caramel flavors. Medium body and smooth. Slightly bitter finish with a subtle sweet after taste. Well balanced. Not like any Weiss I've ever seen, this could easily be passed off as a Porter. Verdict: Damn good! |

| I can't drink alcohol because of my illness it has also some affections on my lever, so it wouldn't be good for me to drink alcohol. So i'm missing beer! (and there is standing on my desk now for like 3 weeks a little bottle with some whisky that my brother gave me can't wait to taste it! being ill isn't fun ) |

| I have a rule when it comes to beer ....... if it comes in a clear bottle don't drink it......
This rule may not apply in your country but it does in Australia........ No beer is good if it comes in a clear bottle.... |
