you can buy a power cord for this at musiciansfriend.com for like 19 bucks or something... well worth using IMO.

Tophet guitar sound is that thing plugged into the recorder, just using the amp modeler, same with BTP and all that stuff...
great sounds out of mine.

I've got a Washburn Blues Overdrive, Fender Distortion, and an RP-80 Modeler from Digitech. If you're looking for raw metal, I know for a fact that the new Vox Valvetronix Amps have 22 differnet amp models ranging from Kansas type amps to Metallica to Black Sabbath (seriously it tells you how to dial them in on their site www.voxamps.com).

I have one of these and have basically broken every knob on it.... due to not being a careful person when packing after a gig..... hate packing up after a gig Sad

I was given a Digitech RP50 Modeling Guitar Processor. It rules.

I use a Boss Stereo Chorus pedal, a Boss Flanger, an Ibanez Phaser, a Cry Baby Wah.

I also use a Line6 POD pro, with foot controller on the floor.

I still am loving my Boss ME-50. Has most of the Boss pedals loaded. The wah sucks but I have a Cry Baby. Having said all that, were I a serious player I would go POD XT Pro. I have several friends who use them. Oz Fox, Jimmy Brown and Don Webster from Neon Cross. Don actually did a gig last year w no amp. Just used the POD. I could not tell the difference. But playing mainly modern worship at Church the Boss works well. The only draw back is changing amps. I normally play a Line 6 spider 50 watt 1 X 12 combo. But when I play out with the Marshall I have to change all the settings. The POD is more consistant.

Spend a little extra and get the electro harmonix metal muff. Or the Boss OD overdrive/distortion.

cool ill look into it..i tired using audacitys built in distortion..and it just sounded horrible Shocked

yep, that's it. it's probably my favorite distortion pedal i've had. Big muff is a close second.

I've never played with a Metal Muff pedal, but it looks cheap. Plus, how much control do you really get with 2 knobs and a dip switch?

I don't think you'd be disappointed if you bought a Boss Metal Zone. And they are rather inexpensive used.

nah...not very good. the original is way better. I wouldn't buy a metalzone pedal...it's tone-less.
