| We personally think it's better to release a bit smaller albums on shorter time than take years and years for albums, with music that was written 4 years before the album was released. |

| but you guys all live close, shouldnt take long.
spend 1 year writing an album
well unless like us, you write the album and the label says go into the studio and that they would give you money... then when you call them for the money they dont answer the phone.(sotd) and then you figure out the label has folded thru talking with other people involved with the label... So you have to scrap recording due to the label lying to you. (and it cost us 1500 bucks of our own money too, that we never recouped) thanks neil for being such a stand up guy.
a year and half goes by
then you wait and pray for another way to put out the album, and finally someone contacts you (psychoacoustix), gives you the money to record, you spend a bit of time learning the new studio gear and get it done in about 4 months (there was a couple set backs,) then you send the final copy to the label and they say "its great" and "love it" and etc... then never release it, then after having the disc for a year they still hadnt released it yet and you find out that the owner who had said the release date was "2 weeks" away for the past 6 months or so had passed away. (wow thats a weird thing) so you then go thru the legal stuff to get the cd's... which the widow does quickly.
thats between Pure as and Tophet for us.
so we did that, like 3 or 4 years between the first one and the second... crazy... all that stuff took the wind out of our sales thats for sure. we would have had lilke 4 albums of stuff by now if it wasnt for that.. now we live long distance and 4 years between albums is probably a short time, ugh.
anyway, i just was saying I want more blooddrift.. so kick it into gear.. ha ha |

| We write our music slowly yet the riffs we're writing are insane. And being all students with lots of work... We are working on songs for the album after the one to be released already though. But due to the more technical side of it, we don't want it on this release. |

| Not really mad, it was frustrating somedays, but honestly I am proud of Tophet and am thankful that I was allowed to write it, record it and ultimately release it.
now if only we could get the next one finished "Dawn Hunter : who walks in the darkness" but i am just in the process of writing for it now.
I have one song written, well partially written and its well over 10 minutes long already. (closer to 14 and i just added a new part, so who knows)
but that one song is actually going to be 3 songs lyrically i believe... so who knows.
its a concept album, so the music is going to flow from song to song, with lots of weird repeating parts etc.
i am stoked... now back to the playlist |

| Gods is being pushed back due to Azahel only having written the first 3 chapters ofthe book its going to be based on thus far. So we will not attempt to do that until the book is finished (at least edited once) so we are instead writing a concept album based on Homeland by R.A. Salvatore in the mean time.
Covered will happen in time, but the legalities are slowing it down.. too much money to self finance... but its going to be great when its done. |
