Been kicking around the idea of some extremely limited quantity
picture disc releases of some select Intense titles. Just curious what
kind of interest we would have doing this.

I would absolutely grab some VR on vinyl! Honestly, I prefer plain or colored vinyls to picture discs. There's extra background noise on pic discs, and I'm guessing they're costlier to produce.

As for other titles I'd like to see: Anything thrashy, death metal-y, or industrial. Stuff like Tourniquet, Deliverance, Mortal, etc. 7" releases of any unearthed rarities would rock as well

Any other stuff from the Frontline/Intense/Alarma catalog, I'd probably pass on if it was pic-disc only unless I had an obscene amount of cash burning a hole in my pocket

They are costlier to produce, but I've not heard of them having more background noise. I'm not sure why that would be the case. It should sound the same as a clear one, as they're genereally just a picture stuck inbetween two clear halves.

For some reason, the pic discs that I have all have a much louder "rumble" in the background. Granted, it's only *really* discernable during really quiet sections and track lead-ins/outs, but still. Cheaper to make and easier on the end-consumer's wallet = win-win for me

I'd probably get a few depending on which album, picture, price etc. Like shamax i also prefer plain or colored vinyl, but that's also because they have all the artwork, liner notes, inner sleeve, etc.
Somehow i also thought picture discs somehow sound a bit different. Aren;t they a bit thicker than plain vinyl? Maybe that;s why they could sound different.

But i have to say....Picture Discs are cool!

We're thinking that the first will be Vengeance "Human Sacrifice". We may use kickstarter to get an idea of what kind of real interest there is. Vinyl production is expensive, and if there isn't enough interest we don't want to be in the hole. With kickstarter it's nice because it's kind of like a preorder but if we don't reach our goal nobody gets charged.

I was kinda hoping it'd be one of the Vengeance releases
