| DO NOT TURN THIS INTO A SILLY THREAD (string?)This thread will no doubt have you staring blanking ahead at your screen as you come up with people's real birth names that are unusual. -Try to avoid shortened or nicknames. -Try to keep this to people that you have met or known personally -List unusually funny sounding or unusually cool sounding names And most importantly, please keep yourself from trouble by avoiding listing names of members at this site unless they truly qualify in the above criteria. NO PERSONAL ATTACKS! I wish that I could remember all of the unusual names of people I have met over the years. LOL, I wish I could remember more than just recently. In the States this might be easier as this is a huge melting pot. To be politically correct, a multi-ethnically diverse country. So true where I live. I have found the most 'inventive' names to come from the African-American subculture. OK, I'll start with my own birth name. I was born Mortimer E Poindexter III. Due to peer pressure and frequent bodily harm I changed to simply Bob. J/K Seriously, here are some people that I've met: Tequila Obi (from Africa) Prince Fancy Gaye Mercedes Asia Bing Cherry CoCo Chi Chi LeZahna (pronounced like the food) Reevance (unusually cool) Duck Park (elderly Korean woman) Hope Faith Joy Luvie (large black man) Chester Herman Knute and Newt Kermit Dweezil & Moon Unit don't count as I have not met them More will come to me, I'll add as I remember. |

One of the producers for one of those Law and Order shows is "Dick Wolf". That's got to be weird he picks up some medication and it says "Wolf Dick" on the bottle. |

| My birth name is Launcelot Nicholas Sutton, but I'm sure most of you know that already. Most of the names my brother listed apply here. My grandma's real first name was Myrna. (R.I.P.) I found plenty of interesting names on the boat. I met a guy whose last name is Force, another person whose last name is Stuff. I didn't meet him personally, but an e-mail was sent to everyone on the Team Truman mailing list from a Navy Ensign named James Bond. lol I knew a guy in high school named My Pham. I know two Albanian girls from high school who were named Marcela and Nimela. My pastor's daughter back in Clearwater is named Kalyx. A good friend of mine is named Coty Harney. A sailor I work with in Beaufort's first name is Bernardo. My first girlfriend's name was Jashelle. A sailor I work with on the boat's real first name is Archie. A sailor who works in the shop across from ours' real first name is Sammy. There's a girl who went to my middle school who's first name was literally Shardonnay (like the alcoholic beverage). lol A girl who goes to my home church's first name is Ioana, and one of her brothers' names is Elisei. A guy I work with back home's first name is Shannon. His wife's name is Mikal. lol A guy I knew in high school's name was Graham Culkar. During graduation ceremony he was called out as "Graham Cracker". lol I'm sure I can think of a whole bunch of others, but that should be enough. |
