| Anyone else who loves them?
I'm on a HUGE Les Miserables-trip these days. Learning to sing along a couple of the songs (Do You Hear the People Sing, Castle on a Cloud, etc)
It just gives me the chills.
I also like many others (Fiddler on the Roof, SOund of Music, ...) ^^ |

| I Love Musicals too Ever since I was Very little, and still it takes a Huge part within me! And some of my dreams, anything with music, singing, dancing and drama! The most recent musical I watched was Todd Sweeney(or how it was spelled?) I liked it a lot in the start, but didn`t liked how it became later on in the movie. The most Beautiful musical that I watched in the cinema was The Phantom of the Opera, and I Truly Loved that one A Lot I like watching quite many, also I find classical musicals with Gene Kelly etc as Very Charming and Sweet watching |

| Like Mikey Erasmus I too was a theatre major in college and I love just about anything related to theatre.
As far as musicals go, I love Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, (I actually got to perform as Valjean for a tour to Canada in which we sang a medley of the shows hits!), and Rent.
Jekyl and Hyde is also very good (and I wish I could have seen the Broadway production when Sebastian Bach was the lead. I saw it right before he took over the role. Amazing production though!)
About the only musicals I haven't enjoyed are Cats and Phantom of the Opera.... |

I didn`t liked that one, I think it is too Perverse made I really dislike it, and I still don`t get it why they showed that one as a musical example on that Christian Folkhigh school I went on earlier. |

Musicals rule, if done properly.
I STILL haven't seen Phantom of the Opera, which I know is a crime. Oh, and Cats = EPYC FAYL. |

| Yes, Mamma Mia is a quite Good and Summer-feel like movie Still there were some scenes and points I didn`t liked, but after watching it free or four times with my friend Silje(she gave it to me as a Christmas present and we liked doing the "sing-a-long" extra bonus that the dvd had too ), and then I watched it fifth time with My Harmen, I thought it wasn`t as bad as I thought earlier I also liked watching Hairspray, especially the new one with John Travolta as the girl`s mom! |

| That's cause I only just found this thread! Yeah, JCS is a big favourite of mine -I particularly love the way that the lyrics provide a human perspective on events, especially the struggle between human and divine within Jesus. I enjoy musicals much more now I'm older When I had singing lessons (years ago!), the teacher had me doing songs from Camelot. Would have preferred Spamalot, but it didn't exist back then! Other favourites are: Les Miserables, Guys & Dolls, Anything Goes -and in the movies, Singin' in the Rain. |

| The news clip below (which I have edited to keep it short) came across my email awhile back and I thought it worth sharing: "Tickets for the Broadway production of 'SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark', with new songs written by Bono and The Edge, are now on sale. The new production, staged by award-winning director Julie Taymor (The Lion King, Across the Universe), begins at Broadway's Hilton Theatre on January 16, 2010. Drawing on over 40 years of comics, co-book writers Taymor and Glen Berger spin a spectacular new take on the mythic adventure that's familiar and fresh yet filled with unexpected twists and turns. Highlighted by visual effects, flying, stunts and breathtaking designs from an international team of artists from Broadway, Cirque du Soleil, the Beijing Olympics and the Spider-Man films. It also marks the Broadway debut of Bono and The Edge who have composed the music and written the lyrics for 'SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark'." Now that I'd like to see! |

For instance I hated when they started to sing on The Simpsons, damn, I always changed channel when they started doing that. |

I'm pretty excited about this one! |
