| I've noticed that everyone here has different, if not wierdly different siggies. I thought it would be cool to explain where you got them, what they mean, so on and so forth. I'll start:
"If God didn't want me to listen to Slayer, He wouldn't have made them awesome.:
That's what I tell people who ask me how I can be a Christian and listen to metal. It's not that Slayer is my favorite band, that would be Metallica, though slayer IS supremely awesome. I use them because they are probably the most blasphemous band that mainstream people know about. To me, all that talent, and how it has positivly affected me and my life, I can't see it coming from anywhere but above. So, that's what I tell epople to shut them up.

Well, obviously, I love God and Iron Maiden. LOL As for the other part, I thought about it, and yeah, Jesus IS metal. Think of it like this: There are a couple of different places in the Bible where God and Jesus talk about not worrying if people persecute you or mock your faith for being Christian. And the traditional metal "attitude" is don't conform, be your own person. In a nutshell, to quote a band I hate to love, "F**k you, I won't do what you tell me." So yeah, in that way, Jesus IS metal.

| Mine is pretty self-explanatory  I love Jesus. I hope that the verses I put in my sig might help others/remind others. And I love some of Thoreau's work. Some of it indeed may apply to us all, even in a "Christian" context sometimes |
