Im from Oregon and am looking for some people to jam with...I had a christian themed thrash band called blood covenant but everyone decided to go with the trends and wanted to do something more modern so im looking for another lineup that is into oldschool thrash metal and hardcore......stuff like vengeance rising, exodus, the crucified, black flag, dayglo abortions, D.I circle jerks, etc...

If your in the area please contact me! Very Happy

DANG! That would be fun. But I live in Florida. The other side of the country, Haha. I too have been lookin for people to jam with. Good luck in your search. Its been hard finding people who play instruments, and ones who are determined to stick with it.

I can read tabs. I never learned how to read staff or anything. I play electric guitar. I have a 6 string and a 7 seven string. I also have a 4 string bass and can play a little slap and regular picking. I also have a few acoustics, nylon and regular acoustic. I have written stuff before. I do all sorts of music. Black, Death, Grind, Hardcore, Thrash, Indie....basically anything. I have a line 6 pod x 3 and record straight through that to my PC using Sony Acid Pro. I also have a Shure SM 57 Mic and MXL 990 and 991 mics to record acoustics and vocals.

Heres my two bands I do. the top is my more serious stuff, and the bottom is just me fooling around doing whatever.

I also have ToonTrack EZ Drummer for drum programming. If you have anything written or recorded send it my way so I can get a feel for the type of music your lookin to do. I've been wanting to do some thrash stuff for a while now.

Cool, Im just a beginner..haha. You have some good gear, those shure mics rule. Some of the stuff on the ethereal messenger myspace sounded pretty good like the first riffs of thrashcore...I digged that..haha. Ill have to check out your other project when I have more time. Smile

Well I do not have anything recorded besides an old cassette of some stuff, slayer covers etc. I dont know whats all on there but maybe I can convert to mp3 and shoot you the files. I can cover vocals and am kind of a beginner at bass. All the things I have learned about music come from when I played jazz in school. Anyways. for the sound im looking at think general kind of crossover thrash....maybe something similar to the guitar tuning of like Hirax, ratos de porao, crumbsuckers, adrenicide, the crucified, etc. I used to have some lyrics written up...if I find them I will pm you.

Come up with some riffs and if you can mix a drum track to that send it to me and I will try to put vocals to it with a bassline. Oh and if I get those lyrics Ill shoot them to you and you can record a vocal track also and we can decide which vocals we like better or whatever you would like to do. Talk to ya later bro!
