My wife's cousin has a pet raccoon that she's raised since it was a baby.

Haha, wow. They get MEAN when they get older. Well, the boys do, girls aren't as bad but they still get really aggressive. Once they hit raccoon "teenage years", you better look out.

It would be cool to have one stay nice and keep it as a pet though.

Fortunately, Nicky is very friendly. This year, Davinia had her Christmas card with a photo of her and Nicky on it.

Haha, she got lucky with that one! I'd love to have been able to keep Rocky, but we never kept any animal that was releasable (only the ones that couldn't have survived in the wild).
