| I periodically flip through the "Top 50 Collected Albums" link (click on "Best & Worst" and it's there, in case you haven't seen it). Anyone else find it curious that Becoming the Archetype's "Terminate Damnation" is the top album, versus Tourniquet, Stryper, Bride, etc? |

| Very curious Obviously it was not set up using the same criteria you or I would have used. |

| Well, Top 50 on the vault means "most collected". In other words, 194 (IIRC) folks have added that album to their vault collection, versus the slightly lower numbers for the rest of the top 10, on down. I'm just wondering if THAT many vault members are BTA fans over Stryper fans, etc. Or if since the crash & subsequent restoration of the vault if there are fewer people using the features like we used to all the time. I still use the collection feature all the time, just curious |

| Hmm, I remember the BTA album being the top for quite a while though, definitely since before the crash. |

| I think Terminate Damnation is one of the best Christian Metal CDs to come out of the 2000s, certainly a classic that I'll get tired of and will listen to years and years afterwards. Their best CD in my opinion. Though I'm all for the new stuff being at the top, I don't know why the Extol CDs are collected less, at least on Firestream anyway. LONG LIVE EXTOL! |

| Yeah, it's a good CD, no doubt, but I think the band outdid themselves already w/ both followups, which is why I think it's a touch curious. Of course, I know there are "TD-heads" out there that think everything after the debut isn't nearly as good, but they're entitled to that opinion, even if they're wrong |

Not surprising to me at all. You just gotta think about the user base. Those three bands formed decades ago. BTA, POD, and Demon Hunter are all newer bands the generation that has grown up on the internet grew up listening to. Not trying to be agist about old ppl using the net. Just being honest. |

| Plus, the BTA albums are a lot easier to get than some of the others. Especially if you're not smart enough to use eBay |

| I'm a bit troubled by all of the sub category findings under 'Best & Worst'
-'Top Rated Albums' Steve Taylor-Squint is #4 -'Top 50 Collected Albums' The first 4 puzzle me -'Worst Rated Albums' Saint-The Perfect Life and Apologetix are not that bad -'Most Votes' POD is yet in the top 10 again -'Most Views' is flawed by Googlebot |

| I agree that The Perfect Life isn't that bad. But I think people were expecting Josh to be doing vocals and were disappointed when they found that it wasn't. |

| You also ned to consider that, even though bands like Styper and POD have had secular success and are well-known, Christian metal is still a largely underground subculture. With that comes limited availability of physical product, and a more limited knowledge of bands that us older people would consider groundbreaking or influential. Add to this the younger userbase as FP suggested -I'm sure there are plenty of people who would rank the older artists higher but don't use the Music Vault (or know that it exists) -and you have a skewed view. It's a little annoying, but that's how it is. |

Thus the reason why my secular metal collection outweighs my Christian metal collection 3:1. I truly wish it was the reverse. |
