| I haven't listened to anything yet, but I am downloading the album right now and will be sure to let you know what I think of it. I'm sure it's who/what I'm thinking (taking in account the mood surrounding the development of this project), but who is Phelicia? |

What a surprise! I finally got a chance to listen to the album. My biggest complaint with grindcore is usually the vocals, and while I'm not a fan of these vocals much, they don't take away or interfere with the grindtastic music you've made. I appreciate the death metal influence you incorporate in this album. I really like it, and I really like the ending of "It Will Not Rest". It perfectly extrudes the atmosphere you were going for. I'm not sure how apparent it is to you, or if you even listened to them at the time, but this album reminds of Cryptopsy's "None So Vile" on many different occasions. If this were recorded with different, but equally as demented vocals as it already has, I'd enjoy it much more, but I know that won't happen, and I fully understand and support why it won't. I'm assuming it is, but is that you on drums or did you use a drum machine of some sort when recording this album? |

| No drum machine. That's me on a drum set.
The vocals are some of my favorite.
I was so messed up during this time period, it's hard to tell what was going through my mind while I made this.
Probably Canadian Mist and Salvia Divinorum.
Thanks for the compliments Munkey!

Probably Canadian Mist and Salvia Divinorum. You're sick on drums. If you tell me that you hadn't heard "None So Vile" at the time of this recording, I'd say you were lying. I LOVE your drumming style, man. By the way, I'll be jamming this album on shuffle/repeat for the next few hours while I work on some accounting homework I'm enjoying it so much! Out of every substance that I have put into my body, I respect salvia more than anything. It's interesting you say salvia influenced your mood/writing during this period, because out of all the times I've used salvia ( LSD+Salvia+Marijuana still remains one of the most powerful experiences of my life) I'd never say it's effected my writing or musical tastes in any way ( unlike nearly every other substance I have experimented with). |

I don't think I was even thinking about Cryptopsy's "None So Vile". I probably considered it too commercial at the time. Stuff from Gorerotted, Impaled, Exhumed comes to mind. The single biggest sound influence for this project was Devourment's "Molesting the Decapitated" album. I liked to do things under the influence, and this entire project was one of them. The lyrics, while decently sick, does have some humor. Lines like, "Congratulations, you work at WalMart, you've conquered life" and "The goo you ooze when you're slashed makes me laugh" is just a couple funny lines. |
