Ultmetal released the following comment on the Heart of Metal forum

"In the last few weeks Ultimatum have been writing new material. We have a couple songs worked out, and another in the works. One is actually completed called "Blood on a Thousand Hills". It's heavy and fast. A real thrasher. I'm also working on the lyrics to a song I started when I was in Once Dead. It will be titled Scattered (Body Parts). We hope to record a new demo in the next couple months to shop around to some labels, though Retroactive is still in the picture.

We also tried out a new guitarist this past week. We may be going back to a two guitar band."

I feel there should be a song about their coolest fan.

Sweet to hear that a new album is progressing!

We will probably record a 2 or 3 song demo to shop around to labels before we record a whole album. We are still committed to Retroactive, but we've decided to shop around a bit to see if we get any bites.

Always good to hear. Hopefully Lex Metalis will attract some bites for you!

What is the story behind Scattered song?. I do not understand very well what relationship has Scattered with Body Parts song.

It's all about the body of Christ. We are stronger together than we could ever be apart. Body parts that aren't a part of the body are nothing but a bloody mess.

of course,you know that i was just having fun with you on the other forum! that is one thing i can tell you;though this could be considered biased..i keep comming back to Ultimatum as my favorite band because of the very strong lyrics the band continues to put out.whether it is thought provoking,current events or one that spiritually challenges me and my faith! i all ready know this song will be great;just based on your comment about above! thanks to God,Scott and Ultimatum! i know the Lord will bless your lyrics,music and the new cd as it seeks to glorify His name!! blessings!

Yeah I agree very strong lyrics mainly on Into The Pit CD. I can feel great power on it, I feel that power goes even beyond metal stuff, it is more that a simple metal CD. If I must judge that CD according to its lyrics, I would say that CD is the best CD of the history of Christian Metal, sooo, congratulations, and you have my respect.

ha, I thought since Vengeance Rising era any band would be able to compose those kind of glorious lyrics again, lyrics that give glory to Christ only, obviously I was wrong.

Someday I will call myself proudly Ultimatum Fan (not Vengeance Rising Fan) by now I am VRF cause I still hope Martinez comes back to Christ again, even when that hope is almost dead.
