Fox Sports is saying that Grant Desme has decided to stop pursuing a profesional baseball career to be become a member of the Priesthood. Desme was the top hitting prospect in the Arizona Fall League. Desme with a chance t make millions has decided the call of God is worth more. This is Awesome I do nor know if I was in his shoes that I could do that.
People who know me know their are two things besides my family I love. Extreme Christian Music, and Minor League or Negro League Baseball.

Good for him, it takes some guts to be this strong in your faith to let nothing get in the way from your calling. I commend this man, the pysical reward may not be as great, but he will get a far greater reward soon enough.

I believe a 49ers running back has left the NFL for the same reasons.
