For 20 years, Beverly Killebrew, their neighbor, knew and loved the couple, affectionately calling them her "mom and dad"
William and Ina Campbell had been married more than 50 years and lived in their Jackson Road home since the late 1960s, Killebrew said. When Killebrew moved in in 1986 she said they treated her like family.
William Campbell, a retired Army veteran and Ina Campbell, who worked at and retired as a cashier and waitress at Charley’s Steakhouse on 41-A, lived a simple dignified life, Killebrew said.
“He was retired military and they were very dignified up to date people,” Killebrew said. “He went to the range and shot skeet and she fed birds and squirrels. She loved flowers and they took care of their dogs...they were wonderful people."
