| kept dreaming about my ex last night.. this the the first christmas for 4 years that i havent spent with her, its so painful! im at a loss, i know she resents me and it hurts a lot, knowing the person you planned to marry after a few months is over you.
feel like im loosing my faith, im sick of being in pain, i dont feel any relief and i dont hear god anymore, feel so abandoned.
its written that god will give you peace. I dont have it. Its one of those situations where if you stop going to church your faith diminishes, i dont get it, when you give your life to christ, shouldnt it be strong. I mean im not saying at the first hurdle im running away, this is like the worst 5-6 months for so so long emotionally, and i dont feel god with me. The more i pray, the more i believe, its not helping.
i don't know really want i'm asking, some advice maybe? |

| I'd say to try your best to surround yourself with the right people. Any void can be filled by God, but it does not hurt to have those special to you in your life do their part.
I myself have been struggling for months, but keep in mind that despite our struggling, God never struggles in His pursuit of our well-being. We are taken care of; we are alive, we are provided with people to have fellowship with, and I assume we both eat and drink and have shelter. Not to mention we can make music and have such hobbies and passions.
Do not give up on that which will not give up on you, brother. Will be praying, but if you ever want to spill anything out to me personally, feel free. I, as well as others on here, are part of the community that God has given you that genuinely care about your well-being. |

| Elan pretty much said it all. We've talked through PMs so if you need to talk again then just shoot a PM Let's focus your Christmas with your family and think about how amazing it is to actually have a family to spend Christmas with! |

| Nothing wrong with feeling miserable, God made you human after all.
Perfectly normal to feel disconnected and abandoned by God, as our faith shouldn't be based on feelings but on something more solid. Feelings easily change, while knowledge, thoughts are more stoic. |

| I have been there bro. But remember the story of Job.
Also I read that sometimes the pain we experience is a necessary thing, to prevent an even greater tragedy.
Be strong. Stronger then me that is, because I too have lost my faith before. And take it from me, as bad as it is now, losing your faith in God can be far more soul retching than anything you imagine.
And sorry about the girl, i know that must really hurt. |

| Depression/anxiety is a *****, man. My advice is simple: get out and get out often. Take a walk, chill at the mall, hang with friends. An idle mind is the devil's workshop, but a to-do list full of things you love will slowly but surely replace the depressive habits with healthy, happy ones. |
