Didn't see a thread dedicated to hunting, and there ain't much sense in searching it since the sports section only has 4 topics. Very Happy

So here is the thread dedicated to your hunting adventures, gear, techniques, and just general hunting discussion. Post pics if you got em.

I live in East Texas so we have an abundance of whitetail, coyotes, wild hogs, and varmints. The whitetail population around here doesn't get very big. It's possible to find a big one, but it's rare. Coyotes are very abundant, as are hogs. An east Texas hog hunt will usually net large numbers of pigs. With a semi auto with a high cap mag, you could take a few by yourself.

I currently shoot a Mathew's Switchback LD. Bow hunting adds a completely new challenge and is very addictive.

Post what you got.

I've never been bird hunting. I'd love to give it a shot though. I've heard duck hunting is addictive.

Yeah, my dad hunt exclusively with bow. He thinks guns is way too easy so he likes the challenge of using bow to hunt deer, moose, turkey, and few other games.

Hey guys, it's my first post in long time. I figured I'd put it here.

How are your seasons going? I've noticed this year that the deer patterns are extremely weird. They're just now starting to come to a feeder. I haven't killed anything yet, but I'm about to make the final push before the end of the season. There was a 160 class 18 point killed about 10 miles up the road. Very good looking deer.

My uncle and cousin just gave us a ton of deer meat. It's awsome, they had it made into a slimjim looking thing. Tastes great.

I haven't been hunting in years. Used to go with my dad when I was little, but it's probably been 5 years since the last time I went.
