Dead Space

I'm on the 5th chapter playing though this one, and I gotta say, one of the most ingenious games I think I've ever played. Probably the greatest graphics on the PS3 or 360, amazing weapons and atmosphere that was definitely way underrated. This game's atmosphere is probably the GREATEST I've ever seen in any game in my entire life! I mean entering some sections just had my jaw dropped and I felt the need to stay there just to take it all in!

Right now I'm loving the "ripper" weapon, a gun that shoots out a circular saw blade and hovers it about a meter away from you for about 5 or 6 seconds, and you can aim it at anything in your path and move it around and it'll tear anything in it's path to shreds, it's freakin awesome!! I mean, even times where you shoot an enemy and its blood splatters on the wall or something, every detail is incredible! what makes killing enemies different is that you have to purposely aim for their limbs and cut them off first, then go and stomp on em to finish them off, so it takes a little skill and aiming, not just shooting things down blind.
This game is fairly old and selling for 18 bucks on amazon, so def get it if you don't have it... just keep it away from the kiddies, major gorefest affraid

anyone ever play through this game? what did you think?

Fairly old? I thought this was still farily new? Are you talking about the survival horror game?

Yea, it actually came out over a year ago, I remember Black Friday 08' the price dropped to 30 bucks after being out for at least a few months already. Now it's down to less than $20

i own it, but have yet to play it.

Edit: I started playing it last night, and it is pretty awesome.

Its pretty good.

That said, Doom 3 is waaaaay better.

I've got Doom 3 on Xbox, but haven't gt around to finishing it yet. Scary at times... Razz

DOOOOOOOOM 3 was awesome. I must have replayed that game a billion times.

Plus it has to be one of the most metal games ever made. Deathspell Omega: The game!!!

I'm playing Dead Space also. I just cleared chapter 6. This game is fun as hell.
