I don't think that's his plan. |

I don't think that's his plan. Firestream.net with a music section is a bad idea. That's what the new Firestream and Blabberboard are for. |

| I agree. Solid obviously want to make the firestream.net a gaming community so let's stick to that. |

| The original Firestream.net had a video game section, so why shouldn't the new Firestream.net have a music section? |

| Are you going to be active in the gaming section? If not then just stick with blabberboard and the new FS.
If so then you can suggest it to solid but I highly doubt he would add the section. |

http://www.firestream.net Didn't take you long to find my FS post Would of posted it here too, but when I found it, I was in a hurry to get out of the house, was logged into FS already so posted it there, and left. I think the new firestream.net could really do with a Political Section myself - Necromanicide |

| Awesome for the gamers around here. There are plenty of outlets for music discussion elsewhere, anyway, and if solid wants ganmes to be the focus for his site, that's cool by me. |

Well what do you expect? He just made it. Fine-tuning a forum and its layout takes time. |

| I think the layout be sexy. Nice and simplistic, good feel to it. I might join up, but I hardly game anymore... little time for it lol. I will have to try and game more. |

| I don't really get it, he quit FS because he didn't have time, but starts a gaming forum on which he will probably be quite active (even more than he had been on FS the past few years?)
But ok, I wish him all the best luck and hope the 2 firestreams won't cause too much confusion.
Won't be joining though, not a gamer or comp tech at all. |

| As I understand it, one of the reasons (amongst others) he didn't have time for FS before was because of the time he was putting into his gaming and another site he done, halocharts.com with some 70,000 members.
That he has taken the idle firestream.net to make a friendly "Christian based" community for some of those members comes as no real surprise to me.
I guess people just have to recognise that he isn't doing this for the metalheads of firestream.freeforums.org OR blabberboard.net. He is doing it as a form of witness to those at halocharts.com and gamers in general. If you aren't into computers and gaming, it's simple enough... Don't go there, it isn't aimed at you. At the same time, don't deride it just because it isn't your thing now. - Necromanicide |

Ah yes, in fact, makes sense :p I didn't really think that far, post was made when I just woke up and I forgot about halocharts. But yeah, I totally wish him luck with what he does. Just said I wasn't joining because I'm not into gaming |

I don't see how there could be any cons in including a section or two for music. The original Firestream was a metal board with a gaming section; there were some users who frequented the gaming/technology sections almost exclusively, but that didn't deter the main focus of the site, at all. Throwing in a token section for those of us who enjoyed discussing Metal at the _real_ Firestream is the least he could do.
