Call of Duty 4 Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PC, Playstation 3 Rated M for Intense Violence, Blood and Gore, and Strong Language Comments: This game is nothing short of perfection. There is extreme intensity from the training mission (first one I played that was actually fun) to the end of the game (I won't spoil it). For some reason it is very easy to get attached to the characters in the game. The multiplayer is amazing. YOU WILL GET ADDICTED!
Warnings: A few minor cuss words. A couple major words like the b-word and s- word. There is alot of blood so I wouldnt recommend playing it with your kids

Eternal Sonata
Xbox 360, PS3
Rated T for Fantasy violence, Mild language, Use of Alcohol
Comments: "Cross the bridge between dreams and reality" On his deathbed, the famous composer, Chopin, drifts between this life and the next. On the border between dreams and reality. Chopin discovers the light that shines in all of us in the enduring tale of good and evil, love and betrayal.
This game is amazing from beginning to end. Engrossing storyline and very vivid beautiful graphics. Voice acting is fairly good. Frederick Francois Chopin may be one of the best characters in fantasy games as of late. This game also gives you the chance to compose your own musical pieces and requires knowledge of musical notes in order to progress past certain points in the game. And the ending is epic and worthy to be remembered! BUY THIS GAME NOW.

Clock Tower
Playstation 1 (1997)
Rated M for blood, gore, animated violence
Comments: This game came out in 1997 on the PS1, I recently was reminded of how incredibly frightening this game was when it came out so I decided to play it again. The game itself is not that outstanding. Graphic are decent, and the controls use a point and click interface. Then why am I writing a review of it? Well you play as 1 of 2 different main characters. The game plays out mostly like a mystery/suspense story, you are Jennifer, the sole survivor of the "clock tower murders", in which the inhuman killer wielded a giant pair of scissors..the killer is known as "Scissorman" You, and your friend Helen (the other playable character depending on certain actions made early in the game) are trying to uncover the secret of who scissorman really is, and how to stop him. Now as for the gameplay, in most of the stages of the game you are investigating and at some point Scissorman finds you and you must run from room to room until you are able to find a hiding spot or something to incapacitate him. This results in an extremely suspenseful experience.
Warnings: Bring a clean pair of underwear

I remember when Gun came out and it looked cool. I am behind the times as well. The last Resident Evil I played was Code Veronica on Dreamcast.
Lately I have been selling my Xbox games to make room for the under-rated Dreamcast, and I collect Genesis games so I play those from time to time as well

UFC 2009: Undisputed
Playstation 3 and XBOX 360 (I own on 360)
ESRB rated T for Teen based on: Alcohol Reference, Blood, Language, Mild Suggestive Themes, Violence, even though all of the "language" is included in emails that you read in career mode (which can be skipped) and in one fighter's name (Punk***). I also have not come across the alcohol reference....
This is one of the best fighting games that I have ever played. The gameplay is pretty smooth, but to master the game you have to take about half an hour to learn about every aspect. The amount of martial arts included is very limited (Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, Judo, Wrestling, and BJJ), but I think that it's more than good enough. The exhibition mode is pretty much just a quick pick-up fight against another fighter, but it's great. The other modes available are career mode, Live, and tutorial(?, I forgot). In career mode, you build your fighter from scratch, choose one striking style and one grappling style and start your career to become champion. The only problem with it is that you can only have 40 fights, but that's more that enough to become great. I have not tried it on XBOX Live, but people say it's fun to play on there, even though there's slight lag and cheaters who disconnect after you start to win. Tutorial is a mode that teaches you to do basic techniques and also allows you to practice moves against an opponent with various settings applied. I absolutely love this game, but expert (the highest mode) is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too easy now and finishing off submissions is a real pain unless the submission is from a countergrappled throw. I recommend this game for all fans of MMA and fighting games in general. It might be to complex for some, but way too easy for others.
Warnings: some cursing, but all in textual form (except when Bruce Buffer introduces Punk*** and in some of the songs, but these are mild and can't be understood easily because of the singers crappy rapcore vocals), violence and blood (which might scare some children), and the octagon girls (which are pretty much girls that hold the round number card between rounds and parade around in matching short shorts and halter top bikini type things, can be skipped by rapidly tapping start between rounds after you see the cornermen giving the fighters advice)
5/5 and even more...

Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition.
Available for the Xbox 360, PS3, and the PC
Rated M
This is a game that takes place quite a ways into the future. The setting is a post-apocalyptic, retro-futuristic Washington D.C. In this game, the U.S. capitol has been savaged by nuclear war and is left in a state of complete anarchy (I know of few of you would like to play this game just to rejoice in the thought of washington being blown to bits). You are the lone wanderer, a survivor from Vault 101, a fallout shelter. The future represented in this game is not the real future but rather the future as envisioned in the 1920's 30's 40's and 50's. The natural laws in the game aren't governed by science, but by SCIENCE! OF THE WORLD OF TOMORROW!!! Radiation has caused bizarre mutations of people and animals, a mysterious substance has cause humans to transform into raging supermutants, and a destructive rogue group known only as the enclave threatens the safety of the people of an already difficult existence.
Pro's ---------------- The open ended world which is fully explorable provides a unique and engrossing gameplay experience. You will find that several hours have passed in before you know it because of the sheer amount of detail to be explored.
The moment you step out into the world for the first time, you are greeted with a breathtaking (and simultaneously depressing) sight of the ravaged washington DC. The first thought that enters your head is "how am I going to explore all this"?
Another thing that complements this open world is that the locations do not simply repeat themselves. Every new location has its own little backstory, some grand, others mundane, but it all creates a much more believeable backdrop then most massive rpg's.
The system for creating your character is also good because you can customize every aspect of your face, down to the most nuanced detail. Some would view this as tedious, but it still a nice option to have.
One MASSIVE pro is the fast travel system. The wastes take many many hours to explore and without this system, the game would be unbearably boring as hours on end would be spent traversing turrain.
Oh and VATS, probably the most delicious bit of gaming ever devised. It. Never. Gets. Old. Watching. Your. Opponents. Body. Explode. In. Slo. Mo.
As this is the game of the year edition with all the DLC's this is also a real money saver. Not to mention that the Broken Steel DLC a) adds 10 more levels to the level cap (awesome) and b) fixes the extremely crappy ending ( 10x more awesome)
Cons ----------------- The biggest gripe is the 3rd person view. It is clunky and unwieldy and for the most part uneccesarry. I suppose that there are a few people out there who enjoy playing 3rd person, and for them it is nice to at least have that option, but could it have really been that hard to have at least streamlined the 3rd person view a bit? This has been a consistent problem with Bethesda games though, and isn't a huge detractor because most players are going to stick with the first person view.
The weapons system is not the best, but that is not a big deal, as the focus on this game isn't on combat. Combat may not be smooth, but in the very least is satisfying and not frustrating.
A strange con with this game is that one of the pros is also a con in an odd way: The DLC's. Ok. I cannot complain that they consolidated them all into a single title. But for those of us, and I am not one of them but I would be angry if I were, who bought the DLC's independently and spent all that money suddenly had this come out, it would have frustrated me to have spent all that money when I could have waited for this to come out and saved $$$.
For some people, this game can be very long. It requires a big investment of time which can prevent casual gamers from wanting to play this game.
Warnings -------------------- It is probably one the goriest games every made IMO. Slow motion combustion, decapitions, eviscerations, and just about every manner of violent death is possible in this game. VATS allows you to choose specific body parts which often results in their bloody dismemberment.
There are many drug references. All the drugs in the game are fictional but bear resemblences to real life drugs (I.E. Med-X to Morphine and various "narcotic effect" type drugs which enhance damage or resistance)
Alcohol can be imbibed in this game.
Swear words are abound in this game. Just about anything you can think of. Its not super prevalent, it is just a long game permits a lot of time for a lot of things to be said...and they are said!
References to sex are few and far between, and are seldom explicit, save for one instance where a certain decorative option for your house (known as "Love Machine") involves a representation of a certain act.
* * * * * (five stars)
The cons were really too minor to subtract even one star, because none of the cons got in the way of my personal enjoyment of the game. So buy it now, it is a great deal and you get like 2 hours of gameplay for every dollar you pay.
