| Hey everyone, my name is Aric and I'm a university sophomore from Missouri. I've known about Untombed for a decent while but never took the time to make an account and things like that, whatever; so here I am now. I'm a huge death metal listener, with my favorite secular acts being Death, Obituary, Suffocation and Gorguts (those are just my "main" ones, among lots of other less inspiring bands); and my favorite Christian bands right now have to be Sympathy, Broken Flesh and A Hill to Die Upon. I'm not unfamiliar to black metal (I have a certain fondness for Elgibbor), but I know a whole lot less about the music of that genre in comparison to death metal. I'd certainly love to come to appreciate that genre more fully though.
Really the biggest reason I joined this board was because I have a strong desire to use my musical gifts and passions to make a death metal project for the glory of Christ that will gain sincere attention from nonbelievers (i.e. doesn't "suck"), and I've been really wanting to start networking with like-minded Christians who could encourage me through this work. I've been playing bass for about three and a half years, been screwing around with vocals for the past year (in the privacy of my car, haha), and I'm trying to get a guitar ASAP so I can start learning that.
So that's me. |
