Every now and then I'll discover a new webcomic, or an old one that i lost track of and spend hours and hours reading through them. Currently reading a few made with lego. Sprite comics have always fascinated me, and I wanna make my own.
I've yet to find one set in the Final Fantasy 6 world, although
Captain SNES has spent a bit of time there I think.
This is the first strip I've come up with, really just a screen capture of the four parts of the introduction to the game. I've added a few extra sprites to the shots though, which you'll notice if you compare it to the original. It was all done in MS Paint, which doesn't like layers, so there was a lot of copy/pasting going on and several windows open at once. It was really just me working out what I could do with the program... and not wanting to use a more powerful program.
Now, the problem with most of my ideas is that they never get any further than just the idea stage. The planning stage never happens... as shown by my attempt at the second strip. It needs A LOT of work, but it captures the basic idea of what I wanted it to be... just in a rather poor manner. I tried my hand at editing some sprites this time, and the magitech armour that has fallen over the branch and dumped the soldier in the snow is the result...
Anyway, that's the poor start of my time-wasting project. Thoughts?
