Nice work all around!

Thanks, James! cheers

I have something for you: the same shot during a summer storm and it really looks like in winter. Watch this:

Very Happy Don't mind the blurr in some parts of the pic: the trees were swaying in the wind.

Yes, and it is just fun (and an IR-filter for the cam is not a very costly affair at all)!

My camera has an IR filter built in (the kind that filters it away), so it should be quite hard to get proper IR shots with it.

O.k., that's quite a problem. My cheap little Nikon D40 does it very well. Razz

As far as I've been able to read up, you'd need to set the shutter speed to at least 15 seconds to get in enough infrared light.

WHO needs to set the shutter speed at at least 15 sec.? Sorry, I didn't understand.

With my cam I get the overall best results with an R72 filter, ISO 200, f8 and shutter set at 1 sec. (rather less). I don't like it if the photos are too bright. Btw with infrared filter I always shoot RAWs.

Okay, got a few of my IR photos done suitable for posting here...

My IR photos are about 8 - 10 years old, and were taken using IR Film in a conventional film camera. Here are a few examples of what I started playing around with, will post a few more if people appreciate these.

What you see in these pics is how they were recorded on film. The colour IR film produced slides. The B&W IR flim produced negatives that could be printed.
These digital images were obtained by scanning the B&W prints (Which I printed myself in photography classes) and the colour images were obtained using a Negative/Slide Scanner.

And... Some of the B&Ws...

Note: The graininess of the images was a characteristic of the film.

@Necromanicide: Absolutely gorgeous! The reddish photos look very unreal - awesome! And the B/W ones convey kind of an aged, creepy feeling because of their graininess - outstanding! I really love your pics! cheers

Recently I tried to edit a photo to look old and creepy - so I added some graininess and decreased a lot of saturation. This is the result (btw no IR!):

Scanned another 4 of my Colour IR pics this evening... These are the first (and only) four colour IR pics I got scanned and printed when I first took them. At $3.50 each at the time, it was all I got done.
