Nice work all around! Thanks, James! I have something for you: the same shot during a summer storm and it really looks like in winter. Watch this: Don't mind the blurr in some parts of the pic: the trees were swaying in the wind. |

Yes, and it is just fun (and an IR-filter for the cam is not a very costly affair at all)! |

| My camera has an IR filter built in (the kind that filters it away), so it should be quite hard to get proper IR shots with it. |

O.k., that's quite a problem. My cheap little Nikon D40 does it very well. |

| As far as I've been able to read up, you'd need to set the shutter speed to at least 15 seconds to get in enough infrared light. |

WHO needs to set the shutter speed at at least 15 sec.? Sorry, I didn't understand. With my cam I get the overall best results with an R72 filter, ISO 200, f8 and shutter set at 1 sec. (rather less). I don't like it if the photos are too bright. Btw with infrared filter I always shoot RAWs.

| @Necromanicide: Absolutely gorgeous! The reddish photos look very unreal - awesome! And the B/W ones convey kind of an aged, creepy feeling because of their graininess - outstanding! I really love your pics! Recently I tried to edit a photo to look old and creepy - so I added some graininess and decreased a lot of saturation. This is the result (btw no IR!):
