what equipments, softwares, programs, etc, do you guys use to record or/and transfer music?

| Firstly, depends upon if you have an acoustic piano or a keyboard. And there are a huge range of digital interfaces available for you to plug into and record. This also depends on your computer system.
So if you have an acoustic piano then you need to set up microphones and use them to record! If you have a keyboard then it is pretty much get the right lead to go from the keyboard to the interface and then record.
I have a Tascam US 144 interface, which came with Cubase LE4 software and am buying a Line 6 Studio Pro UX2 for guitar modulation!

| If you want a cheap set-up....i suggest getting "Cool edit Pro" and a cheap 2 input interface. An mbox maybe. And for cheap but decent mics...just pick up a few shure sm-57s. |

| It won't recognize the keys unless you have a MIDI input on your computer. |

| what kind do you have? you'll probably just have to run a line from your keyboard to the mic input or whatever interface you may have. |

what kind of mic you guys suggest to record vocals? Cool edit should give you the option to mix down your songs to whatever compression you want...wav,.mp3, high quality mp3, etc etc. |

| For simple vocal tracks, an SM57 would suffice. A Super 55 would be even better. I hear they're using those in professional studios these days |
