Interesting review. I love The Phantom Tollbooth, and have been reading their reviews for years. I was sad when I originally saw they were going away, but have been glad to hear that they are back in action. At any rate, this is probably the most glowing review one could expect from a more indie-meets-mainstream publication like TPB, actually. They rated it quite well, also, which is sweet.

I kinda liked the review too. However, I knew that one day, a Christian site that would review a Vomitous Discharge release (and now in recent times, mine) would take issue with the fact that he did a few split releases with pornogrind bands.

I'm pretty sure that they will say that about me now, as a 9-way split I just recently participated on has a few pornogrind bands on it (which I had no idea were going to be on it), but it's not like I really care. Other than complain about the short songs, the blastbeats, and other stuff in the genre that we play, has the Christian scene ever really done anything as a whole to support? I mean, I'm very thankful for those that do support us, but the secular scene gets the win when it comes to support, because they have been our biggest supporters.

When you are a part of a scene that has only had 30 bands/projects within the last 17 years with only about 6 or 7 that are currently active, you do kinda run out of choices on who to do splits with.
