| I'm considering getting one, I've been looking at the Behringer MetAlien. http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/IAXE629-BKLS.aspxI plan on using this with Reason, I will be practically teaching myself how to play. Does this look like a good guitar? you think I will be able to get a good metal sound with this? |

| Have you been able to find any reviews on it? Usually UltimateGuitar and sites like that will have reviews on pretty much anything. |

| Yeah I've read some reviews and it rates pretty well as a good beginner guitar, but I was checking to see if anyone else had opinions, because apparently USB guitars are fairly new |

| I've never used or even seen a USB guitar, but $150 is a decent price for a new beginner guitar in general. |

I agree with this statement, reason why? I've owned several Behringer products over the years. Mixers, effects processors, etc... |

| Theres a couple more usb guitars from line 6 also. They come with modeling software to make it sound like almost any guitar. Check out musiciansfriend.com zzounds.com and line6.com for more info. |

| I know some people who don't use anything other than line6, but I've heard more complaints about their products than good stuff. I guess it depends on what you are playing. |

| I guess it's fun for those who start messing around with guitars and equipment But if you want to sound like a marshall, buy a marshall, don't use line6 just to pretend you have marshall |

| And instead of comparing your car to a Subaru, why not just buy a Subaru?
Okay sorry, it just made me think of that commercial. |

| Yeah I'm basically looking for a cheap way to get started playing guitar but at the same time be able to create some REAL sounding metal riffs, as opposed to the synthesized stuff I have been playing with in Reason.
I'm not looking for it to sound like any certain guitar, because I really have no knowledge. just looking for something that sounds decent. |

| You might be able to find some youtube clips of them in action, that would give you an idea of how they really sound...maybe. |
