nice! i would to have a macro lens, or at least play around with one! do you have a local place around that you can rent a lense out from? i'd have to find some place through the internet and have it shipped out to me to do so

yeah, I want to buy one for myself now! A photographer in Woerden (where I live) rents out a few lenses. A macro, super zoom 170/500, fisheye and some other stuff. Not a lot of stuff, but some of 'essentials' and since I have limited funds, it's a great way to try out some stuff first.

Yeah I rent equipment from local video production company when I want to shoot videos.
Rental can be great resource when funds is low.

@ Sedona, I got a Hama Macro lens + 10 Dioptr. works great and nice price and if you have a 2x convertor, you've got yourself a nice macro lens. maybe you should look into that.

Alot of camer'a and even camcorders have the feature built in.. now-a-days. Although I don't have that option yet.
