The Dawn Treader was my favorite book by C.S.Lewis. I look forward to this Narnia movie more than the others. But the books were all excellent as will be the movies.

I'm really excited for the next installment of Narnia. "The Dawn Treader" is an amazing book and if the film is even half as good as "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" and "Prince Capsian" it'll have been well worth the wait!
Now, if someone would just start working on a film adaptation of Lewis' space trilogy....

Dude, that would be so cool! Give it the Star Trek/Star Wars treatment.
The books in the trilogy are:
* Out of the Silent Planet (1938), set mostly on Mars. In this book Elwin Ransom voyages to Mars and discovers that Earth is exiled from the rest of the solar system due to its fallen nature and is known as "the silent planet". * Perelandra (1943), set mostly on Venus. Also known as Voyage to Venus. Here Dr. Ransom journeys to an unspoiled Venus in which the first humanoids have just emerged. * That Hideous Strength (1945), set on Earth. A scientific think tank called the N.I.C.E. is secretly in touch with demonic entities who plan to ravage and lay waste to planet Earth.
In 1946, the publishing house Avon (now an imprint of HarperCollins) published a version specially abridged by C.S. Lewis entitled The Tortured Planet.

Exactly! But, keep the script really close to the original story line so it remains true to Lewis' vision!
As for the abridged version, I had no idea, but I would love to get ahold of that. The Space Trilogy is really what got me into Lewis' work in the first place.

I enjoyed it very much. Purist might not as it, like the other movies so far, doesn't adhere completely to the book. I feel it actually improves upon the book in some areas mostly likely in the interest of scaling all the detail down to the 2 hour window. Still as intense as the other movies. Now I have 'The Blue Star' as a hottie.

In theaters this Friday. TRON: LEGACY is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that's unlike anything ever captured on the big screen.
