| Article from a great christian site, boundless.org regarding how we view where we work. I'm currently working at a dead end job in an office and plan on going to teach probably in about a year God willing. While teaching isn't my PASSION, I view it as an upstanding position that is respected and admired, plus something that makes a difference in lives and something I could eventually learn to be passionate about. I honestly don't really have an extreme passion at the moment. There's not much hope in supporting a family and being happy doing it when you can't rely on where you're working or don't enjoy it somewhat... those negative feelings will negatively affect those you love as has been happening with me lately (becoming discouraged, losing faith, snapping at others, etc). Plus, I'm making joke money for someone my age. Where do you work and how does it affect your faith or life and outlook on yourself? How do you know when it's time to move on? http://www.boundlessline.org/2009/12/what-does-a-dream-look-like.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+boundlessline%2Fblog+%28Boundless+Line%29 |

| My dream ob would be owning a successful recording studio and coffee shop. However, I'm a far cry away from being able to do anything like that for now. I'm a cashier at a health food market making minimum wage on an extremely unpredictable part-time basis. However, yeah, I do like where I work currently. If I didn't, I don't think it would necessarily help me in my ambitions. |

that's easy capitalism is an excellent economic system when paired with other-centered morality. Don't be a selfish pig and it wont matter where you work |

| I'd say I have my dream job right now, and have had it for over 11 months.
I'm a drug and alcohol adviser in a recovery home. (like a halfway house)
I get paid in more than one way, that's for sure. ____________
....Dream job aside, now, about that dream raise..... |

| My 1000th post I don't intend to offend but my dream job would entail much of the following and more: -dress comfortably yet professionally -not a driving job -not a sitting or standing job but a mixture -no one looking over my shoulder -autonomous decision making -not out in harsh weather -work with high tech -variety (not stuck in one place/section the whole shift) -occasional strenuous work is fine -sufficient pay -internet access and listen to music during the downtime -help others/make a difference in someones life Wait a minute, this is my job. This is what I've been doing since 1984. It is good to remind myself from time to time to be grateful. Thank you Lord |
