For the record, the KJV argument fails. I can't believe that no one studies logic anymore. If someone would actually think, they would figure out that if that's true, then Christianity is a lie because the ORIGINAL Greek and Hebrew Bible are utter lies....and guess what bibles the KJV and all other versions of the Bible are translated from?

I swear, these churches must be for the lulz, because I have a hard time understanding how anybody could every take anybody with that sort of attitude seriously.

Ummmm yeah. I think this church is going a wee bit overboard. I think th irony is that they are having a good ole' picnic during all this.

Wow where do they find these people I'd sure like to know what this guy pastorial credentials are. To put Benny Hinn in the same catagory as JohnMacArthur tells me all I need to know. Amazing Grace and Westboro do the rest of the people who call themselve Baptist a favor and drop the Baptist Church from your name!

It's not a hoax. The KJV-only movement is known very well for stuff like this. They have a reputation for declaring people heretics without getting all of the details, and for being over-sensationalistic.

Their claims of the KJV being the only written Word of God preserved in English is ridiculous anyway. There is enough historical data to suggest otherwise, like, I don't know, the numerous times it had to be revised due to some words being a tad mistranslated, not to mention a bunch of spelling errors also.

I also love how the KJV-only movement loves to bash the Apocrypha. I mean, I don't believe it is inspired either, but they are failing to realize that the original 1611 edition of the KJV contained the Apocrypha.

As for the whole KJV only business, what was the only true inspired non-heretical English Bible before the1611 KING JAMES AUTHORIZED VERSION? Perhaps the 1610 Douay-Rheims?

Yeah, I had to chuckle at that as well. The question that came to my mind is that when did the church first begin with so few members.

Also, does anyone feel that what they are doing and their beliefs are cult-like?

This is ridiculous on so many levels. God remove this veil of confusion from their eyes.

that most people can decipher between the kinds of people that burn books and the kind that dont. i dont know anyone that thinks that because some christians burn books that the entire concept of christianity is evil.

I agree with mystery. There are cases where Christians have acted terribly and misrepresented our Lord, giving the nonbeliever a bad impression. But mainly, the world doesn't like us because we go against everything it stands for.

I think if Jesus were here he'd give this church a good solid rebuke.
