PostSubject: Hot Dogs   Wed Jun 10, 2009 2:49 pm

Any fans? Any favorite types?

This thread is to discuss hot dogs, one of my favorite foods.

Now my favorite is a Chicago stlye hot dog:

all beef hot dog
onions
tomatoe slices
hot sport peppers
mustard
delmonico pickel relish
celery salt
pickle spear
and absolutely NO KETCHUP!

What about you guys?

Ketchup DOES NOT belong on a hot dog!!!! Evil or Very Mad

Razz

I like mine with mustard and relish.

And I actually prefer Hebrew National hot dogs.

lol well that's understandable if there's lots of other stuff on it. i would never put ketchup on a polish sauerkraut hot dog! yuck. but the last hot dog i had was just a plain old boring dog.. which definitely needs ketchup and mustard. Smile

I like a good old 'ristet hot-dog' of the Danish variety. Never had a better one anywhere in the world.

Bread, sausage, ketchup, mustard, remoulade, fried onions, fresh onions, pickles. mmmmmmm.

The Homewrecker Hot Dog

From Hillbilly Hotdogs here in good ol' West Virginia. Yes, in WV, cole slaw is pretty much a given on any hot dog you get anywhere. I prefer chili, hotsauce, onions, and (sometimes) mustard though. Cole slaw... blech.. Razz

I prefer my hot dog as a cheese coney. A hot dog topped with Cincinnati chili, diced onion, and shredded mild cheddar cheese. Usually mustard is on it but i'm not a fan of mustard. If i'm getting a plain hot dog I usually put ketchup on it.
